- We understand that our Engineers and Legal Personnel are continuing to work on the Rincon Road Sewer Project, which we expect to let out to bid sometime this Spring.
- We have advertised in the SF New Mexican and Thrifty Nickel to sell the Double Wide Mobile Home located behind the Village complex offices to make room for a metal storage building. We are asking $40,000 and are willing to negotiate the price. The mobile home is 28x76 and is a 1997 Model Silver 199.
- We have engaged the services of REDW to draft policies and procedures for the Village. The contract calls for drafting financial procedures, which include cash management, procurement, accounts payable, credit cards, financial reporting, vehicle use, payroll & timekeeping, budgeting, travel and per diem. We have the option of updating current Personnel Policies and Procedures, which will incorporate the Village Code of Ethics , and updating of our Employee Handbook that was implemented by the Village by Ordinance 99-1, in 1999. We also intend to update the staff's job descriptions. The cost of this project shall not exceed $56,275, depending on the time and effort expanded.
- No Capital Outlay Appropriations were awarded to the Village during this year's legislative session. We requested $2,000,000 for upgrades to our drinking water infrastructure system. We were advised by our sponsoring legislators to instead ask for $150,00 which we did, but no Capital Outlay Funds were appropriated for this year for the Village. The East Pecos Mutual Domestic Water Association requested $376,000 to connect to the Village's Waste Water Treatment Plant, and were awarded $98,000.
- Mona and Art met with Wanda last week from Senior Citizen Management from the City of Las Vegas and authorized the acquisition of kitchen equipment for the Pecos Senior Center for approximately $15,000. This is from an appropriation that we had requested back in 2013.
